What is your class cancellation policy?

GROUP CLASSES:

When possible, Super Duper Tennis will suggest an alternate class. If this is not possible, the class will be cancelled and a refund will be issued to the registrant.

If you need to cancel a class, we offer a full refund for cancellation one week prior or more (7 days or more) to the start of the group class, plus $25 processing fee. 50% refund for cancellation 6 days or less prior to start of classes plus $25 processing fee.

PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES:

Super Duper Tennis has a 24 hour cancellation policy for all private / semi-private sessions. If a private / semi-private is cancelled less than 24 hours, it will counts toward your package paid. If a private / semi-private is cancelled 24 hours before or more, you can reschedule the session to another day / time that works for both parties. For example: if your child’s lesson starts at 9am Sunday, you must notify us before 9am on Saturday.

What is your refund policy?

GROUP CLASSES:

Refunds for any type class can only be given before the 3rd scheduled class. In this case, only the classes that have been held up to that date will be charged. For example: for a 8 week semester class, you have to request a refund before the start of the 3rd week of class.

PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES:

Refunds for any type class can only be given before the 2nd scheduled class. In this case, only the classes that have been held up to that date will be charged. For example: for a 5 week package of privates / semi-privates, you have to request a refund before your  2nd private lesson / semi-private lesson.

CAMP CLASSES:

Super Duper Tennis will not offer prorated camp days. Please refer to our cancellation camp policy above.

What is your makeup policy?

Attendance to scheduled classes is the responsibility of the participant. If you or your child cannot attend class for any reason, you will be eligible to attend ONE end-of-season makeup class. No credits or refunds can be given for missed classes. If you miss the end-of-season makeup class or additional makeup classes offered, no refunds or credits will be given.

NOTE: If we offer several makeup opportunities in addition to the end of season and one cannot make any of the additional offered makeups for any reasons not Super Duper Tennis responsibility, we will not be able to offer a credit / refund.

A) What if I’m unable to attend or miss a scheduled end of season makeup?

We will use best efforts to provide adequate notice of all make-up class details, so that a maximum number of students can attend. After notice of cancellation, Super Duper Tennis will alert you via email of the end of season make-up opportunity at the same or nearby facility, not sooner than 48 hours after the original cancelled class.

We ask that you confirm via email to our offices if you will be attending or not attending to the end of season makeup class 48 hours after receiving notification, so that we alert and schedule our coaching staff.

If you are unable to attend the end of season makeup, it will be considered a used make-up opportunity.

If you confirm and then do not attend or miss the end of season makeup for any reason, it will be considered a used makeup opportunity and no refund or credit will be offered and it will be seen as a used makeup opportunity.

B) What happens if the makeup class gets cancelled?

In the event the end of season makeup gets cancelled for any reason, one class credit will be issued upon request.

C) Can I reschedule my group class to another day?

Unfortunately we cannot reschedule a class. At the end of every season we will have a makeup class.

We do not offer makeup class for private & semi-private classes. If your child cannot attend the private & semi-private lesson, the cancellation policy for private & semi-private lesson takes effect and we must be notified 24 hours in advance prior to your lesson day. We will then reschedule to another day pending coaches and location availabilities.

Mid-season makeups ("drop-ins") are only possible if open spots exist in other classes

CAMP CLASSES:

Super Duper Tennis does not allow any makeup, refund or credit for any missed camp day where you decide not to participate for any reason other than in Super Duper Tennis responsibility or weather cancellation.

What is your weather policy?

GROUP CLASSES:

Unfortunately Super Duper Tennis cannot control the weather, but we will provide an end of season makeup instead. The end of the season makeup classes are for any classes cancelled due to weather and / or any class you cannot attend due to reasons not Super Duper Tennis' responsibility (i.e. missed class due to travel / sickness / other plans / forgot about class, etc.)

Super Duper Tennis will use every reasonable effort to provide ample notice of such cancellations using either the phone number or email address provided upon registration. Notice may be given up to an hour before class time. It is at Super Duper Tennis' discretion whether a class be held or not and may be based on forecasts rather than current conditions. We will cancel a class if rain continues two hours before the start of classes. For example: If class time begins at 3pm and it is still raining at 1pm, we will cancel classes and you will be notified. However, if it stops raining at 12pm and does not continue, we will continue with classes and you will be notified.

In such cases a makeup class will be offered at the end of the season on the same day and time you initially signed up for. Should a class be canceled due to weather conditions 2 or more times in a single semester, a one class credit will be offered to be used toward a future semester (valid one year).

Should a season be extended and a player cannot attend the extended season sessions, no makeups, credits and or refunds will be offered.

NOTE: If NYC public schools are closed due to inclement weather, program classes will be canceled. No makeup classes, credits, or refunds will be granted. Super Duper Tennis reserves the right to cancel program classes due to inclement weather during days public schools are not in session. If NYC public schools are open and an outdoor class is canceled due to inclement weather, up to one (1) makeup will be provided upon request per term. That will be the end of season makeup.

We will not hold classes outside if the temperature drops below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES:

If your semi-private or private lesson is cancelled due to weather, the same weather policy for group classes will apply (see above). However, no credits or refunds will be issued for cancelled classes and instead we will schedule the class another time.

If, for some reason, we are unable to fulfill all paid lessons, we will offer a lesson credit toward a future schedule set of semi-private or private lessons. This credit cannot be applied to a group classes or Asphalt Green.

CAMP CLASSES:

For any outdoor camp your child participates in, if the weather doesn’t look favorable and forecast predicts continuous rain the morning of camp, a weather related decision will be made up to 1 hour before the start of camp and we will notify all parents via email. If the decision is to cancel the camp day, that day of camp will be refunded.

If, however, we are able to start camp and play at least an hour or more before it starts to rain, the coaches will take the kids to a covered area (Mini Golf Entrance) and finish the remainder of the camp day with tennis related activities, arts and crafts and games until pick up time. An email notification will be sent to all parents/caregivers regarding the pickup location.

What is your trial policy?

We do not offer trial classes for any group, private, semi-private or camp classes. We do, however, have a specific refund policy, which provides a similar option. You can enroll for the session, and if for some reason your child does not take to the class, you have until the 3rd class to withdraw and receive a full prorated refund. Our policy is structured as young children in a new environment, often take a couple of classes to get used to the sport, the other children, the coach and the surroundings. For example: If your child’s 3rd class is on Monday, you must notify us up until the start of the 3rd class (not after the 3rd class has begun on Monday), if you no longer want your child to continue. You will then receive a prorated refund, only paying for the three classes your child attended. The prorated refund will be sent via email and deducted from the credit card the registration was placed under.

What is your credits policy?

Credits offered are valid for one year - i.e. If a credit was issued to you for a Fall 2024 class, you will have until Fall 2025 to use the credit for a registered class. When you use your credit, register as you would for a the class and we will apply the credit refund once we receive your registration. A refund confirmation will then be emailed to you. Unused credits cannot be refunded. Credits cannot be used towards our classes with our partnered vendors (schools, Asphalt Green, etc.) and / or to mini seasons or 5 sessions or less. Group class credits can only be used towards other group class credits; Camp class credits can only be used towards other camp classes.

*Credit = your credit card will not be deducted immediately. The agreed credit amount will be deducted once you register again for a class before your credit becomes invalid.

*Refund = your credit card will be deducted per the agreed amount immediately.
